A translator who has taken an oath at a court.

In Germany, depending on the federal state ("Bundesland"), court-certified translators are called:
- "vereidigter Übersetzer"
- "allgemein beeidigter Übersetzer"
- "ermächtigter Übersetzer"
- "öffentlich bestellter Übersetzer"
