Master’s course
Postgraduate studies in addition to completed undergraduate studies.
Usually in addition to a bachelor course.
A master’s course takes two to four semesters. Germany distinguishes between two different types of master’s course:
- Follow-up master’s courses: These either deepen previous studies of the same subject area, comprise two or more subject areas or add entirely new academic fields.
- Master’s courses as extension studies: These build on previous professional experience.
