Notes on documents

If you have a school leaving certificate from Mexico, you will need to submit the following documents:

  • Your school leaving certificate ("Bachillerato General") accompanied by confirmation that you have completed all of the required credits for the Bachillerato 
  • An overview of subjects and grades from the last three school years stating the total average grade obtained in the Bachillerato

If, in the past three school years, you have attended another school in Mexico and gained credits that count towards your Bachillerato ("Equivalencia"), please submit the following additional documents:

  • An overview of the subjects studied and grades achieved during this time (in the original language only)

If, in the past three school years, you have attended a school overseas or a foreign school in Mexico and gained credits that count towards your Bachillerato ("Revalidación"), please submit the following additional documents:

  • An overview of the subjects studied and grades achieved during this time (both in the original language and as a sworn translation)

If you did not complete your Bachillerato after three years of regular in-person teaching at school, but via a different pathway (e.g. by sitting CENEVAL examinations or through online/distance learning), please submit the following additional documents: 

  • "Educación Secundaria" school-leaving certificate (in the original language only)

If you subsequently completed regular school years that count towards the Bachillerato but are not listed on your school-leaving certificate, please submit the following additional documents:

  • An overview of the subjects studied and grades achieved during these school years (in the original language and as a sworn translation)

If you have an IB diploma, this must also be submitted.

Have you studied at a university in Mexico? In addition to your transcript (and Degree certificate, if applicable), you will also need to submit the following documents:

  • Official programme structure (“Plan de estudios“) of your degree programme

This document must include information on the courses/exams and credits to be completed for each semester/year of study, and the standard duration of your degree programme. Uploading the programme structure to your My assist online account is sufficient. A translation of this document is not required.

If you have completed your undergraduate studies, you will need to submit the following documents:

If your diploma certificate has not been issued yet, please send us an attestation issued by your university stating which degree (e.g. “Licenciatura”, “Título Profesional”) has been awarded including the date of the award.

If you completed all of the modules required for your degree programme more than 6 months ago but the degree has not yet been awarded, then you will need to submit confirmation from your university that the award of your degree is still outstanding.
