Notes on documents

If you have a General Certificate of Education with Advanced Levels or International Advanced Levels, you will need to submit the following documents:

  • Your official General Certificate of Education – Advanced Level or International Advanced Level, showing all of your final A Level results

Until the final certificates are issued, we can also accept the following documents:

  • Statements of Results issued by the awarding bodies
  • Statements of Results issued by the examination centres containing the following information:
    • Exam session
    • Awarding body
    • Level of qualification (AS or A)
    • Results
    • Name and centre number of the examination centre
    • Candidate name and number

Unfortunately, we cannot accept predicted grades issued by your school. This means that you will only be able to meet the university's application deadline if the awarding body publishes your A Level results before the deadline and you submit the Statements of Results to uni-assist before the application deadline.

Please always submit all of your A Levels because we can only determine which A Levels can be taken into consideration for a specific application once we have completed our evaluation of your certificates.

AS Levels cannot be taken into consideration. For more information about this, please visit: anabin.kmk.org

If you have a BTEC, you will need to submit the following documents:

  • Your BTEC diploma including an overview of your subjects and grades
  • An overview of subjects and grades covering at least one year of a regular bachelor‘s programme at a recognised British university that leads to a bachelor's degree with honours

If you hold a bachelor‘s degree from a British university and your transcript/Diploma Supplement does not specify the name of the teaching institution, you will need to submit the following documents:

  • Official letter from your university confirming the name of the teaching institution or campus at which you completed the modules/courses listed on your transcript

Separate written confirmation is also required if you have studied in the UK but your transcript does not specify the name of your teaching institution/campus.
Neither a document specifying the “awarding institution“ or the “institution administrating studies“ nor confirmation that you were registered as a student there is sufficient as the awarding/administrating institution may differ from the teaching institution.

If your transcript / Diploma Supplement does not contain a numerical average mark for your degree, you will need to submit the following documents:

  • Confirmation of your numerical average mark, issued by the British university

It is not sufficient to provide proof of how the British university calculates your overall grade.

If you hold a bachelor‘s degree from a British university and have completed all or part of your studies at another institution, you will need to submit the following documents:

  • transcript of records from the teaching institution showing all of the modules/courses which were recognised by the British university
  • Confirmation from the British university of the teaching institution at which you completed the modules/courses which were recognised for your degree

If you hold a top-up degree from a British university, you will need to submit the following documents:

  • Degree certificate(s) and a full transcript of records for all qualifications used for admission to the top-up degree programme (e.g. BTECs, other professional diplomas/certificates or advanced/higher diplomas, etc.)
  • Official letter from your university confirming the name of the institution or campus at which the top-up degree modules/courses listed on your transcript were taught

If you hold a dual bachelor’s degree issued jointly by a British and a non-British university, you will need to submit the following documents:

You must submit a transcript of records from the British university even if the transcript issued by the non-British university lists your grades using the British grading system.
